Cliganic Organic Castor Oil: Cold Pressed, Hexane Free, and the Price

Cliganic Organic Castor Oil: Cold Pressed, Hexane Free, and the Price

Cliganic Organic Castor Oil costs $22.99 for 16 oz on the brand’s own store, about $1.44 an ounce, and the brand states it is cold-pressed, hexane-free and certified organic. Its 16 oz bottle sits between Heritage Store and Sky Organics on price per ounce. Here is the label, the sizes, and the cost side by side.

What does the Cliganic label claim?

Cliganic’s product page calls the oil cold-pressed and hexane-free, and its page FAQ says it is certified organic. The store also tags it USDA Organic.

The page explains hexane as a chemical solvent commonly used in conventional oil extraction. For how cold pressing differs from other methods, see cold-pressed vs steam-distilled oils.

The brand sells it in 1, 2, 4, 8 and 16 oz sizes, and includes a double-sided lash and brow applicator wand.

Source: each brand’s own store, checked 10 October 2026. Prices change; per-ounce figures are our arithmetic.

At 8 oz, Cliganic and Sky Organics cost the same. At 16 oz, Heritage Store’s organic oil is cheapest of the three organic bottles, with Cliganic in the middle.

Heritage Store’s standard castor oil is far cheaper, but the page does not label it organic.

What is the catch with the bottle?

The listing’s material field reads glass and plastic. A customer question on Cliganic’s own product page asks why their bottle came in plastic, so check which one you are getting if glass matters to you.

The brand’s own copy describes the oil as thick, and says it works as a carrier for essential oils.

Is it worth buying?

If you want organic castor oil in 16 oz and the $0.10 an ounce over Heritage Store does not bother you, Cliganic is a reasonable buy. If price is the priority, the Heritage Store organic bottle is cheaper per ounce.
